WELCOME TO A POINTKNOWN PROJECT
WINCHESTER MASSACHUSETTS

Thanks for scanning.
Here’s what’s happening
in Winchester.

You’re viewing a live residential renovation project documented in 3D by Pointknown.

For this Winchester home, Pointknown captured the existing building and converted that information into a design-ready Revit model, CAD plans, elevations, sections, and visual project views.

Before the renovation moves forward, the team needs to understand the home as it exists today — accurately, clearly, and in 3D.

PROJECT SNAPSHOT

Digital existing conditions for a renovation and addition

The owner and design team needed dependable geometry before moving into design decisions, roof tie-ins, garage planning, and visualization.

Measured 3D elevation

A measured 3D elevation helps the team understand roof lines, floor levels, openings, and exterior transitions before design work advances.

WHAT'S HAPPENING HERE

Reliable geometry before renovation decisions get expensive.

This Winchester home is undergoing a major renovation supported by accurate existing-conditions documentation from Pointknown.

For this project, we created a full 3D digital model of the home so the owner and design team could evaluate renovation options before construction began. The work included documenting the existing house, supporting the conversion of a rear garage into home office space, and helping coordinate a new attached garage with covered access into the home.

Because additions need to connect cleanly to the existing structure, accurate documentation of roof lines, elevations, and geometry was critical from the start.

DESIGN-READY BASELINE

Not just measurements. A model the design team can use.

Pointknown documents homes and buildings as they exist today so architects, owners, and project teams can begin with accurate information.

That can mean a Revit model, CAD plans, 3D viewer access, or visual support that helps everyone understand the project before work begins.

What Pointknown delivered

The digital foundation for planning and design coordination.

For this Winchester renovation, Pointknown provided the measured information and visual context needed to support planning, visualization, and design coordination.

CAD exports for architectural design

Shareable 3D model access for review

Visualization support

Accurate elevation data

Roof and exterior geometry documentation

WHY IT MATTERS

Less guesswork. Better coordination. Fewer surprises.

Renovations are full of unknowns. Pointknown helps reduce those unknowns before they become field problems.

Reduce guesswork

Start design with reliable measurements and documented existing conditions instead of assumptions.

Coordinate with confidence

Tie new work into the existing home more clearly, especially where roofs, additions, and transitions get complex.

Make decisions earlier

Walk through the home digitally, review options sooner, and move into design with fewer surprises.

SECTIONS AND ELEVATIONS

Understanding the home in section, not just in plan.

Renovations often hinge on vertical relationships: floor levels, roof planes, ceiling heights, stairs, structure, and exterior grades. Sections and elevations help the design team see those relationships clearly.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

From field capture to model views and drawings.

These views show the kind of visual and technical information Pointknown can produce from an existing-conditions documentation workflow.

HOW WE HELP

A cleaner path from existing house to renovation plan.

Pointknown turns existing buildings into useful digital information for homeowners, architects, and project teams.

Capture
We document the home using reality capture methods suited to the site, scope, and design needs.
Process
Scan, image, and field information is organized into a usable digital reference.
Model
We create design-ready Revit and CAD deliverables that support architectural work downstream.
Review
The team can review drawings, model views, elevations, and visual context before design moves forward.
WHY POINTKNOWN

The value is not in the scan itself. It is in what your team can do next.

Design-ready deliverables

Measured information is structured into clean Revit and CAD outputs so architects, owners, and developers can move quickly.

Clear communication

Pointknown focuses on clarity. The process stays in the background. The usable result stays front and center.

One source of truth

A single field effort supports visualization, planning, modeling, and documentation—without repeated site visits or fragmented information.
