Andover Restaurant

Pointknown documented a former restaurant space in North Andover, Massachusetts, previously occupied by Bertucci’s, to support its next phase of renovation and reuse. The goal was to create a complete and accurate digital baseline of the property, enabling the design team to fully understand the space before planning began.

What was documented
The project included full interior and exterior laser scanning of the restaurant, capturing all architectural, structural, and operational elements. Key areas documented included kitchen layouts, dining and seating areas, service zones, mechanical spaces, and existing equipment—ensuring a complete record of the building’s current state.
What was delivered
Pointknown delivered a detailed Revit model developed from high-accuracy point cloud data. The model included equipment and fixture placement, mechanical and service layouts, structural elements, and precise spatial dimensions. Supporting 360° photo documentation was also provided to give additional visual context for the design team.
Why it matters
Restaurant renovations often involve complex coordination between architecture, equipment, and mechanical systems. Accurate existing-conditions documentation reduces uncertainty, minimizes costly surprises during construction, and allows teams to plan efficiently from a reliable digital foundation.
Brief History

The property functioned as part of a well-known regional restaurant chain, serving as a familiar dining destination within the North Andover community. As the space transitions to a new concept, capturing its existing conditions ensures that prior layouts, systems, and infrastructure are properly understood and can be adapted efficiently for future use.
